Week 4: Production sprint 1


Hi all,

This week we continued production. The first thing we did was experiment with the camera angle. Instead of all 90 degree angles from a top-down perspective, we settled on a rotation of 75 degrees on the X-axis and -30 on the Y-axis. The camera smoothing was also tightened a little bit and we let the player move according to the camera direction.

Extra 3D-models and lights were added to the level. The placeholder tiling textures were replaced with new ones.


We continued working on the NPC and ghosthunter behavior. Right now the ghost hunter will patrol the level and search for the ghost. If the ghost is found, it will be sucked up.
The NPC's can also be scared now by calling boo. Once you do, you can see the scaremeter increase. When an NPC is scared it will run away from the player. When the scaremeter is full the NPC wil run towards the exit.
